Aisha Jamila is an American actress who is best recognized for her appearances on the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her debut she has demonstrated her range of talents by appearing in series like Under the Dome, 9-1-1 Detroit and 1-8-7. First noticed in 2005 for the role of Anna which was featured on Assault on Precinct 13 It was however her portrayal of the women's rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer in the biographical film All the Way that finally brought her recognition as an actor. Hind was also acknowledged for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman in WGN America's period drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the series for the third season. Hind has completed filming in the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It is due to be released in mid-2019. Bachchan was studying architectural studies when she won the title of Miss World in 1994. It was a title that made Bachchan a star in the world of modeling. Her contract was lucrative with Vogue magazine and PepsiCo Inc., along with the L'Oreal Paris spokesperson contract in 2003. Bachchan had a popular acting career thanks to her performances in Iruvar (1997 and Aur Pyaar ho Gaya (1997). The two films challenged the traditional structure that characterized Bollywood movies at the time, propelling Bachchan into the front of the New Bollywood. Bachchan was crowned the Queen of New Bollywood due to her role in Devdas 2002, which was one of the most well-known Bollywood film. This film also became the first Bollywood film that was screened at Cannes Film Festival. Following that she received high praise for her role in Chokher Bali (2003) which is a dramatic thriller that was based on Rabindranath Tagore's novel. That same year she was the sole Indian actor on the Cannes Film Festival jury. Bachchan was in Bride and Prejudice, a ballet and musical version of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice by Gurinderchadha. It was at this point that Bachchan brought her star power and attractiveness to her debut major English-language film. After the film's release, Provoked: A True Story in English, she returned to Bollywood and was a part of the film Dhoom: 2 (2007). Abhishek Bachchan is a Bollywood celebrity and a frequent co-star. He's also the son Amitabh Bachchan.
